fun august coming up

I finally found a temporary part-time job and it looks like it will be kind of fun. For the first 4 weeks of the month, I will be responsible for taking a group of French teenagers and their chaperones on sightseeing excursions. They are here to attend one of the many, many English schools in the area in the mornings and the afternoons are dedicated to various activities around the city : Imax, Playland, Aquarium, etc. There is even a trip to Victoria in there somewhere.

Perfect for a bored and broke individual such as myself - I will get to do some stuff (admission paid) and get a bit of cash at the same time. AND it works with Matito's daycare hours
AND I will still have a week and a half before school starts again during which I can go some where (Vernon?) and spend the money I will have earned by then!

summer goes on...

Well, summer seems to be dragging on and on... I can't wait to get back to work. Time off is nice, but it would be nicer to have some cash to go somewhere out of the city. Oh well, some good stuff is going on:
- finished my course I was taking through Hadley School for the Blind and signed up for another.
- easy going, late mornings with Matito (and late nights too, nicer for him to sleep when the house cools down)
- ice cream , 'nuff said.
- going for an orientation thing at a housing co-op in a great area of town, hopefully it will all work out!
