still here without posting anything
Magic Mexican Child
A dear friend recently introduced me to the world of blogs and I am hooked, so here is my attempt at expressing myself in cyberspace. As with everything else in my life, the focus will be my son and our adventures in parenting!

math
Yesterday Matito learned to count to 100 yesterday. Then he found a math worksheet and did some adding. He spent this morning working on more number worksheets and
declared, "Math! I love math!".
Let's hope that feeling lasts!

token post for this month
Okay, someone asked about why I hadn't posted for so long, so here it is. I am not really into this blogging, but I feel kind of obligated to keep this going... I seem to swing between being absolutely fascinated by technology and being a complete luddite. Is that totally weird of me?
I am watching Chicago, one of my faves. Makes me wish I were skinny and knew how to dance. Watch it if you haven't seen it.

question
Why don't I get invited to things. Am I really such an asshole? I am so sick of it.
Whatever.

Tea for Three
Matito had tea for the first time last night! As I was making a cup of tea, I asked Little One to ask Daddie if he wanted honey in his tea. As the mere mention of honey can send Matito into long declarations of love and admiration, he suddenly was VERY interested in having some of this tea laced with his coveted honey ...
So, I made him a (lukewarm)cup as well. The three of us sat done together at the table to drink our tea, which Matito deemed was 'just like a tea party'. He also wanted a glass of water to 'warm up' the tea(ie cool down, make warm instead of hot) , but requested it be a 'fancy cup' for the special event. I gave it to him in a wine glass, which he seemed to think was fancy enough. After a few sips, he declared he loved it and proceded to conduct an experiment with the different cups of tea and the now empty wine glass to compare the sounds each made.
Mommie and Daddie smiled a lot during this tea party.
A day in the life..........sometimes it is just so perfect.
