fun august coming up
I finally found a temporary part-time job and it looks like it will be kind of fun. For the first 4 weeks of the month, I will be responsible for taking a group of French teenagers and their chaperones on sightseeing excursions. They are here to attend one of the many, many English schools in the area in the mornings and the afternoons are dedicated to various activities around the city : Imax, Playland, Aquarium, etc. There is even a trip to Victoria in there somewhere.
Perfect for a bored and broke individual such as myself - I will get to do some stuff (admission paid) and get a bit of cash at the same time. AND it works with Matito's daycare hours
AND I will still have a week and a half before school starts again during which I can go some where (Vernon?) and spend the money I will have earned by then!

Nice! That's great news. Do they need a librarian? Like, a non-french speaking corporate type to accompany them to fun places?
Probably not, but you could come and keep ME company as I will probably be the only English speaker in the crowd... (these are teenagers. in a foreign country.without parents. - I doubt there will be much English being learned)
Good job Margie!....congrats....you'll certainly have more fun then me!....
and who knows...maybe you'll get to learn some French on top of that...(some key phrases like..."Don't go there!"..."no...no...don't do that!"....no, we're not going dancing.." etc.) nice. french teenagers :)
